Dr. & Mrs. Shabbar & Sarah Danish
Shining Star Honorees
Dr. Thangamani Seenivasan
Medical Honoree
Mrs. Barbara Littman
2nd Annual Recipient of the Judith A. Hoffman Humanitarian Award.
Last year’s sold out event united 570 guests and raised over $508,000. Today we have an enormous opportunity to end cancer, and the pain and suffering it causes. Thanks to the progress we’re making together, mortality rates from the disease have fallen 27 percent since 1991. That’s more than 2.4 million lives saved from cancer that would have otherwise been lost. While we’re making great progress, it’s going to take all of us, working together, to beat this disease. That’s why we do much more than breakthrough research. The Society also offers free rides to treatment, free wigs, free lodging near hospitals, and 365/24/7 help and support for those facing the disease. Your investment in the American Cancer Society means we’re able to provide support to everyone impacted by cancer, in every community, from research to education, prevention to diagnosis, and treatment to recovery.
We hope to see you there!
